From the 2nd to 12th of April 2024, the United States and Kenya held the fourth round of negotiations under the U.S.-Kenya Strategic Trade and Investment Partnership (STIP) in Washington, DC.

The Kenyan delegation was led by Principal Secretary for Trade Alfred K’Ombudo while the US delegation was led by Assistant United States Trade Representative (USTR) Constance Hamilton.

This round of negotiations allowed the two sides to exchange views on the draft agreements concerning agriculture, environment, and workers’ rights, while also touching on issues around anticorruption; and MSMEs, and continued conceptual discussions on inclusivity.
